Short introduction to our work in Uganda, July 2011

In Uganda ReBUILD’s research was led by Makerere University School of Public Health and the School of Women and Gender Studies. Collaborative links with Gulu University were established so that they could participate in the research activities. The purpose of this partnership was to generate research evidence that responded to the challenges that policy makers were facing. Our plan was to engage with stakeholders from government, development partners, academia and civil society throughout the research process to ensure that REBUILD activities were relevant and supported processes to develop the health system in post conflict Northern Uganda.
